It's been an intense few months.
I've relocated to Mexico. (Yes, to the rental I referenced in my previous post.) Got all utilities set up, got things arranged, figured out how to pay my bills via my Mexican bank account. I've started moving some of my money down while the exchange rates are good. I took a trip, fried my motherboard and charger port, got a new computer, and just picked it up a few days ago. I set aside today - when everything is closed and I can't do much else anyway - as my New Computer Setup day. I've done a decent job getting most of my stuff set up, but there are a few outstanding annoyances that I'll have to fix.
When I knew I was headed back here, I made SEVERAL purchases so that I could pick them all up and bring them home. (When I have makeup packed in my suitcase, I can bring it through no problems. But they will not let dropshippers send it across the border unless I have an import license, or something like that.) So far so good. I even brought a second suitcase specifically so that I would have room to bring everything back. Unfortunately, I'm very bad at estimating how much room I have vs how much stuff I'll have. I'm gonna need another suitcase.
A lot of what I bought is books: mostly more coloring books, but three actual physical books. And then six more books that I bought when I went to B&N to pick up two of the three books that I'd ordered. And half a dozen novelty note pads. And an expandable flatware tray because I could NOT find one that I liked down there. (Also, interesting side note: amazon.com.mx does let you buy some things that you'd buy off of Amazon, but a) not everything and b) often you pay 3 times the US-dollar price. Yes, VAT tax (or exactly whatever it's called in MX) is part of the price, but it shouldn't be -=that=- much more!!
These suitcases are hea-vy. They have wheels, but they're still heavy.
